Spent most of the day doing a 50 hour maintenance on my sister-in-laws new Ferguson compact tractor.
What started out as a quick fluid change and looking things over turned into all day of chasing and replacing hoses!
Rats had chewed holes in the bypass and upper radiator hose, 2 of the emissions hoses, and a wire harness.
The dealer was closed, so I had to hit several auto supplies, matching up something that would work. Ended up putting a flex hose on for the upper radiator, it will have to do until I can get the right one (or they chew through it again).
I doubt it will do any good, but I bagged up some moth balls inside socks, tied them in various safe places around the engine compartment, and scattered some around the shed where it is stored.
Told her she needs to add some hungry cats to her little farm!

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
