First time post.
My dad has a JD 4630. My family used to farm some, but basically the bank took the farm. So my dad still has a few random pieces of equipment and hobby farms 20 acres now and holds an 8-5 job. He has this 4630 syncro tractor from back when they used to farm. About 10 years ago something broke in the rear end. My dad was a mechanic for Case IH at one point so he knows what he is doing. He split the rear axle from the main tractor to inspect. It has sat this way for TEN YEARS. My dad does not have the money to fix this thing. It just sits in the shed. I asked him what is wrong and he said he needs a used rear end from a syncro style transmission.
Where could I find of of these for my dad? Are these hard to find knowing there are three transmission types? (Syncro, Powershit and Quad Range).
