can you pay to much for a tractor?

thanks for all the replies on the round baler question. here's another one for you.who can say what a tractor is actually worth? can you pay too much (within reason) for a tractor that you find that you want. the theory goes that time is worth more than any money you might save to keep on looking for another tractor cheaper,(make sense) also the tractors that you may know of that have sold like the one you are wanting to buy probably would not sell again for the price that you know they sold for. also, when i look back 30 years, the tractors that i thought were too high at the time , look cheap in todays dollars and i wish i had bought them all back then. time is worth more than any premium you might pay to get one now. other things enter the equation too, like trucking expense, condition, location,. anybody agree or disagree or comment.
