Things of Marginal Value

There are several features or devices on tractors which have little or no value , yet we have them. I would like for others to add to the list or to discuss the merits of each Latch to hold brake pedals together: Some tractors did not have them and the idea would be great if properly adjusted and traction same for both sides of machune. I never use mine. Differential lock: Why not apply brake to slipping wheel? Also makes for poor steering. Vinyl seat cushion: Use them but makes for a wet seat. In old days a burlap bag was more comfortable. Bumper: Dirt farmers did not use them becaused they watched where they wee driving. False sense of security has added to damaged radiatirs and grilles. Foot throttle: Who needs?
