I Never Thought Of This!!!

I was looking at a guys H today and we got to talking about the generator. He said he put on a 12 volt generator. Usually when you think of that, spending more $$$ than you really want to comes to mind. He said something that I never thought of before and they are fairly easy to find. He put on a Cub Cadet generator. It bolts right up, looks the same, but is 12 volt. Might work, might not. But if it does that's a clever way of changing to 12 volt. Anybody done this or tried it?
